About

Soft Shock is an independent creative studio based in London, founded by Illustrator and Mural Artist Luke Fairhead in 2020.

Luke started his career as an illustrator studying Illustration at London Metropolitan University (The CASS). After graduating in 2015 he started his professional career as a graphic designer, working for companies and as a freelancer for 5+ years. In 2020 he decided to combine his skills as a Graphic Designer with his passion for illustration, print making and mural painting into a new creative outlet – Soft Shock Studio was born!

He works seamlessly between analogue and digital mediums producing work that tries to bridge the accuracy and precision of digital work with the energy and spontaneity that hand-made work (No straight lines here!). He takes influences from many different sources but currently is obsessed with maps, architecture and cartoons.

You can find his work on everything from books, record sleeves and food packaging to posters and large scale murals.

Luke is a member of The AOI and Artist’s Union England and his work is proudly AI free.
